Job Information

Develop and evaluate solutions for new and existing challenges using the latest in engineering data acquisition and analysis tools.  Devise, set up and conduct laboratory and field tests of newly developed and existing products. Translate technical guidance received from supervisor and product design personnel into useable data applicable to a particular engineering assignment.  Coordinate activities of contract personnel, co-ops and technicians in gathering data and conducting tests. Strive to keep Bobcat products at the top of industry performance and durability.  Work in a hands-on environment where it’s expected you’ll be evaluating improvements first hand, not just on the computer screen.

Role & Responsibility

  • Perform Test Procedures and Interpret Results 
  • Understand tests to measure performance or durability of specific component parts or product
  • Actively engage with the design and set up of necessary test fixtures, machines or instruments required for conducting component or product tests
  • Demonstrate the ability to operate and/or supervise operation of the field test equipment and units under test
  • Make recommendations regarding product design, materials, or other specifications based on test results and sound engineering principles and theories.
  • Coordinate and communicate test status with Product Design Engineers.
  • Perform Engineering test duties as required acting as a team member. 
  • Develop, manage, and execute test plans for given projects
  • Supervise Engineering Technician and/or co-op students

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.  Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and engineering skills and a willingness to use them.
  • Experience with operation, repair and maintenance of equipment.
  • Experience with test and validation methods, preferred.
  • Understanding of the theory and design of Company products.
  • Promote safe workplace activities from equipment operation to day to day activities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Competency with MS Office Suite.
  • Experience 2>10 years (position level will depend on experience level)
  • Travel < 10%
