Job Information

This role will provide technical support, provide field and factory training, and develop all forms of training for Doosan generator products. This position will ensure that distributors are supported with tools and training to address and provide solutions for technical issues related to generators.

Role & Responsibility

Customer Support

  • Assist dealers in troubleshooting and resolving Doosan equipment problems.
  • Assist in field problem identification and resolution.
  • Use field feedback to feed the Early Detection System (EDW) and then follow issue through to resolution by working with Engineering, Sourcing and Operations to develop a problem solution. Then implement solution to the field.

Product Development

  • Assist with development of new products to ensure potential issues are identified and resolved early in design.
  • Initiate and develop unit modifications when involved in reliability issues and lead to product redesign through engineering.

Customer Training

  • Train distributors in troubleshooting, safety and maintenance of Doosan generators.
  • Train distributors on paralleling of generators.
  • Develop training curriculum for new generators developed by Doosan. Work with the engine manufacturers and other sourced product manufacturers to develop those portions of the training material.

Job Requirement

  • Strong working knowledge of generator systems including switchgear and accessories.
  • Experience in generator paralleling applications strongly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of software and electronic control systems.
  • Must be able to read and interpret electrical schematics and understand diesel engine operating principles and characteristics.
  • Strong engine background.
  • Training experience.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively utilize personal computer including Windows applications (MSWord, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Email, etc.).
  • Ability to multitask and function in an interruption-driven environment.
  • Any Bachelor’s Degree, allow equivalent
  • 5>7 years of experience
  • 5-10 years of technical support and/or training on generator products.
  • Technical competency in servicing and applying generators
  • 25 - 50% travel
  • This job must be located in Statesville, NC
