Job Information

This position will lead development and coordination of regional strategy of CE, Corporate Strategy development, monitors execution of strategic initiatives.

Role & Responsibility

Strategy Development

  • Develops long-term strategy for Compact business by evaluating organizational strengths and weaknesses and gains consensus from management on the obstacles of achieving strategy
  • Identify initiatives and resource requirements for carrying out long-term strategy and communicate to functional leaders
  • Facilitate regular meetings to review long-term strategy; lead regular meetings with functional leaders to review functional strategies and initiatives

Strategy Execution

  • Develops regional executive MBO initiatives and KPIs that align to long range plan
  • Monitors execution of global and regional initiatives by tracking executive MBO KPIs
  • Proactively identifies initiatives that are behind target and raises issue to management; identifies mitigation plans and adjusts long-term plans if necessary

Annual Planning

  • Manages annual planning processes by ensuring that function-level initiatives and resource plans are sufficient to achieve annual operating plan and that KPIs are set properly to drive appropriate behavior to achieve long-range goals

Strategy Projects

  • Researches market and competitive intelligence to ensure management is up to date on business environment, competitor movements and strategies and incorporates intelligence into strategy development/execution
  • Analyzes adjacent markets and products to identify areas of opportunity for product/market expansion and/or acquisition/partnership opportunities
  • Develops “what-if” strategy scenarios for entry into new markets/products
  • Ad Hoc projects as assigned

Job Requirement

  • Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, and/or Mathematics
  • MBA preferred
  • Experience Required: 7>10 years
  • Travel Required: < 10%
  • Demonstrated experience using strategic thinking and planning skills
  • Proficiency in data analytics and problem-solving skills
  • Prior experience creating reports and presenting to senior management
  • Strong knowledge of business drivers, LRP/AOP initiatives
  • Thorough knowledge of industry, market, and competitive landscape
  • Highly capable of establishing rapport and credibility with others regardless of position, function, or culture
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Powerpoint
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Proven Project management skills
  • Ability to persuade executive team
  • High competency Strategic Thinking, and Execution
  • Proven ability to challenge status quo
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with very short timelines/deadlines
  • Ability to create and evaluate business cases
  • Prior experience interacting with Korea team
  • Strong business acumen

  • Needs to deal with a broad spectrum of corporate-wide strategic issues.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills are required to quickly establish network.
  • Needs to deal with multiple assignments under a time constraint.
  • Strong business acumen required to understand functional issues to create challenging, but achievable AOP/LRP
  • Late evenings/early mornings required
  • Need to be able to concisely explain complex problems and details to non-native English speakers or very limited English speakers
  • Persuading and pushing executives and directors to explore new alternatives and complete strategic planning despite their need to resolve constant short-term issues
