Job Information

The Senior Accounting Analyst will support the Heavy Equipment business by performing the work related to financial statements closing, consolidation and general accounting.

Role & Responsibility

Financial Statements Close & Consolidation

  • Post manual journals
  • Maintain supporting documentation for manual journals
  • Gather data to support pre-tax income
  • Review relevant tax data and determine required posting
  • Close sub-ledgers
  • Reconcile and finalize inter-company
  • Reconcile and finalize inventory and FA
  • Reconcile and finalize AR & AP
  • Reconcile and finalize employee accounts
  • Upload trial balance into BPC
  • Perform validation and reconciliation b/w SAP data and BPC.
  • Perform automated currency translation
  • Perform initial review on Margins & Management Accounts.
  • Perform final adjustments
  • Production and coordination of
  • Group Statutory accounts

General Accounting

  • Complete required accruals and provisions – Rebates, Discounting & Retail Finance,
  • Freight/Warehousing, Warranty, Payroll, SG&A
  • Provide and maintain supporting documentation for provisions
  • Review of inventory aging
  • Prepare and post OSMI provision in line with Group Policy
  • Review and approval OSMI provision
  • Prepare and post Bad Debt provision in line with Group Policy
  • Review Out of Balance Report and resolve any differences
  • Prepare, Review & Approve Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Collect supporting documentation for account reconciliations
  • Generate fixed asset in the FA register
  • Generate FA activation in the FA register
  • Begin the FA depreciation based on recorded period in ERP
  • Perform intercompany cross charging as required
  • Generate intercompany payments including netting
  • Finance/IT support

Job Requirement

  • Knowledge of IFRS and GAAP
  • General, inter-company, and consolidation accounting experience
  • General Accounting systems knowledge, SAP experience a plus
  • Understanding of finance and accounting for manufacturing environment
  • Must be self-starter and take initiative to complete projects and assignments on-time and in a professional manner
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and remain flexible in addressing unanticipated, short-notice assignments
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to share knowledge with appropriate levels within the organization
  • Must be customer focused with a strong attention to detail, and capable of delivering accurate, quality results in a timely, consistent, and professional manner
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills
  • Must work effectively in a “Team” environment with the ability to interact comfortably and respectfully with all levels
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Education:  Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • Experience:  5>7 years
  • Certifications:  CPA preferred
  • Travel:  < 10%
