Job Information

The Publications Specialist will supervise and coordinate the activities of the Heavy Equipment publications department, which focuses on managing product manuals released from Korea and North American suppliers.  This role will manage the suppliers to ensure that manuals are print ready, develop service training material for technician training in North America, and assist Product Service Managers with technical information improvements.

Role & Responsibility

Administrative Coordination

  • Manage the release of manuals (shop, parts, operation, & attachments) from Korea and NA suppliers for NA dealer / customer use.
  • Work with outside suppliers & other Doosan groups (Europe/Korea) on translation of manuals in NA
  • Manage the Publications budget for the manual process from Korea to suppliers to print ready

Quality

  • Develop process with Korean Publication group to have quarterly interaction on quality improvements of manuals. Including translation and content quality.

Publications Technology

  • Work with Korean Publication group to increase the functionality of PDF manuals in NA.
  • Understand technology of suppliers and Dealer interface systems for best practices in manual delivery for use.
  • Collect voice of customer/dealer on manual needs in relation to systems and content.

Service Training

  • Work with Service Training department on needed production of service training class and online material.
  • Manage relationship with outside supplier on production of service training material for instructor and online classes.
  • Manage the publication and production of all service training class material.

Service Technical Information

  • Work with Product Service group and Product Support Managers to archive and produce Service Knowledge Base (Knowledge Articles)
  • Assist in quality of service material feedback from manuals and schematics
  • Assist Product Service group on Call Tracs Base information and quality

Job Requirement

  • Effective management skills.
  • Knowledge of Doosan products and dealer requirements and expectations.
  • Knowledge of technical writing standards.
  • Innovative spirit.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to follow written instructions
  • Education:  Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • Experience:  5>7 years
  • Travel:  <10%
