Job Information

To build the company’s product and innovation advantage by working with major functional areas to create optimal products and product improvements.  Both in terms of maximizing product gross profit and customer expectations

Role & Responsibility

Product Management

  • Initiate Business Case development by establishing customer need and market acceptance.
  • Manage the product development process Acts as Voice of the Customer during the process.
  • Manage updates to the business case/financial measurements.
  • Acts as liaison with attachments group.
  • Supports engineering in the development of safety materials.

Business Performance

  • Monitor business performance of products.
  • Support all product launch & ongoing marketing activities.
  • Support sales channel with product support, training, and dealer development resources.

Product Plan Development

  • Responsible for the development and execution of the Americas Product Plan.
  • Responsible for understanding the operational issues & balancing those aspects in the product planning process.
  • Responsible to build the business case for product development.

Competitor & Market Analysis

  • Gather comprehensive voice of customer analysis.
  • Participate in market research activities to understand customer needs.
  • Develop conclusions on the results of product research.
  • Conduct analysis of competitor product and pricing data.
  • Analyzes competitor product information.  
  • Recommend new products, product improvements and pricing strategy.
  • Review Engineering Change Notice's for field impact.
  • Perform ongoing monitoring of product GM levels.

Areas of Focus

  • This position requires the ability to collect and analyze numerous internal and external pieces of data with the goal of creating a product development plan. 
  • Once the plan is developed the Product manager must be able to gain buy-in from management and multiple functional areas and then guide the products into production ensuring that financial, quality and customer goals are met.

Job Requirement

  • Construction Product (or related) development knowledge
  • Financial Acumen
  • Strong communication skills (team leadership, presentation ability)
  • Experience in building business plans and projecting/measuring Return on Investment
  • Experience in conducting and compiling customer research
  • Ability to manage cross functional teams
  • Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Marketing
  • Experience Required: 5>7 years
  • Travel Required: 10-24%
