Job Information

This position is responsible for Marketing and Communication activities for the Geith and Montabert brands within the North American Marketing and Product Management areas: tactical marketing and research, branding, marketing communications, trade show, and public relations activities. Global coordination is required to assure a similar marketing message, branding and literature has been considered and communicated for a global brand.

Role & Responsibility

Tactical Marketing and Research

  • Draft and implement surveys on brand or product to meet needs of business.
  • Liaison with 3rd party marketing firms to get voice of customer from our media placements.
  • Budget tracking of advertising spend along with creation of AOP budget.
  • Enter Oracle requisitions, pay regular bills and facilitate relations with Accounting to ensure proper payment timing.

Branding

  • Responsible for brand promotion of the Geith and Montabert brands, which includes but is not limited to the website, advertising, public relations, dealer communications, manuals and product decal scheme.    

Marketing Communication

  • Manage the public relations which includes the activity of 3rd party marketing firms, as well as freelance writers and photographers. This involves approving activity, coordinating with support staff, managing the schedule and placement of the information to the publications. Leverage and assign stories to be rewritten and re-purposed for the media.
  • Media: Negotiate media placement and plan, fill insertion orders, and manage the media plan closely.
  • Photo shoots: Coordinate and oversee all photo shoots of equipment.
  • Product launch kits: Work with product managers and external agencies to produce product launch kit material and distribute to channel when new products are brought into market.
  • Literature creation and maintenance: Liaison with product managers and manage the external agency for fulfillment in North America.
  • Website: Maintain and grow web presence in North America with updated information, literature, creativity and brand compliance. Maintain Passport photo library, literature, and other branding communications. Grow brand awareness through search engine optimization (SEO).
  • Social Media: Set up long term plan to maintain and grow a social media presence.

Coordinate and Execute Trade Show Marketing

  • Plan, administer and production of national, regional and local trade shows, including the contract administration and negotiations with show vendors.
  • Facilitate training of employees on the trade show process. Create and reconcile the budget for trade within the cost center budget. Coordinate the relationship and exhibit programs with current and future show vendors. Develop and coordinate the trade show website and any other related electronic marketing systems. Responsible for measuring trade show Return on Investment (ROI).

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor’s Degree required – Marketing or related field.
  • 2 – 5+ years’ marketing experience.
  • Knowledge of construction equipment and industry is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of consumer behavior.
  • Must demonstrate a complete understanding of journalistic styles.
  • Effective project planning, project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, including presentation and negotiations experience.
  • Sound decision-making and analytical capabilities and ability to be self-directed.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
  • Conceptual, creative and innovative skillset.
  • MS Office Suite competency.
  • Travel Standard:  10 - 20%.
