Job Information

The Dealer Profitability Manager is responsible for leading recruitment of Doosan Heavy Equipment dealer candidates in priority markets.  The position will also lead Company activities specific to dealership profitability and market development strategies.  This will include focusing on dealership rental, parts, and service growth, and strategies that helps facilitate a transition away from a whole good dependent model.

Role & Responsibility

  • Responsible for recruiting assigned priority markets for new heavy equipment dealers.
  • Assist dealer candidates in evaluating pro-forms and business plans for growth.
  • Dealer profitability responsibility, specifically to assist with the dealer rental strategy in communicating and teaching dealers “best practices”, benchmarking, and the use of forecasting tools.
  • Assist in developing tools, programs, and resources to enable dealers in maximizing absorption rates and driving profitability.
  • Develop, implement, and support programs that assist dealers in improving operations and providing a consistent high level interaction with customers.
  • Strong presentation skills needed for periodic field trainings, dealer meetings, region meetings, planning tools and marketing materials.
  • Develop business modeling and financial planning tools that enable Field Marketers to drive investment in coverage and branding strategies.
  • Develop and execute strategy relative to channel development.
  • Support any additional actions that further drive growth and improvement in the Rental, Parts, and Service aspects of the dealership as well as channel growth

Job Requirement

  • Knowledge of financial accounting.
  • Knowledge of dealer operations.
  • Strong customer relations skills and relationship building.
  • MS Office Suite proficiency. Above average computer skill set is preferred.
  • Effective time management, priority focus and ability to multi-task. 
  • Education:  Bachelor's Degree required
  • Experience:  7 - 10 years of sales/dealer development experience within the heavy equipment industry preferred 
  • Travel: > 50%
