The Portable Power Channel Support Team’s focus is Sales and Marketing support of wholesale complete machine sales.  The Channel Support Specialist will process, monitor and report on complete machine order activity for channel partners worldwide.  Target channel/clients will be identified as areas of primary responsibility.

Role & Responsibility

  • Complete Machine Order Management:

Enter orders for all channels that do not access SmartEquip - Worldwide.  Review all orders entered in SmartEquip for configuration, pricing and terms accuracy.  Correct as necessary.  Responsible for processing, scheduling, expediting and updating sales orders to meet the dealer and customer requirements. Enter Reman and Rental machine orders in Oracle and coordinate shipment of machines to channel partners. Extensive product knowledge of DPP products, including available options and configurations.  Participate in DPPU training events to stay updated on new products and options.

  • Inventory Management:

Monitor FGI for opportunities to reconfigure to meet customers’ leadtime.  Monitor Aged Inventory for sales opportunities and communication to channel partners. Internal daily reporting on current inventory and master schedule.  Weekly leadtime and product availability reporting to sales team worldwide. Manage tradeshow inventory - scheduling machines to be built, shipped and final post-show disposable. Responsible for physical inventory for all offsite completes (consignment, demo, charity units).

  • Operations Support:

Responsible for scheduling all standard complete machine orders.  Work with Master Scheduler to schedule highly configured machines. Participate in daily LPMS meeting, providing a commercial update to Operations to meet monthly ship plan. Update daily LPMS "needs resolution" report prior to LPMS meeting. Participate in weekly meetings to meet monthly ship plan - Export shipments, NPD, Ship Plan, OMG.

  • Marketing and Channel Support:

Manage assigned territory by developing relationships and working with regional and district managers, dealers, and national rental account managers.  Primary contact and liaison for DPP to assigned national rental account. Front line contact to assigned territory and national account on pricing, availability, order fulfillment, order status, and lead times. Internal communication with Sales, Product Managers, Field Service, Manufacturing, Engineering and Sourcing, as required, in order to meet and fulfill unique requested products or configurations. Review weekly backlog reports, understand underlying reasons for changes in promise dates and communicate proactively with impacted parties. Manage backlog to best meet customer needs.

Job Requirement

Any - Bachelors Degree

            Allow Equivalent

Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

2 > 5 years experience

< Travel

Customer service experience a plus

General knowledge of all DIPP products.

Detail oriented.

Must be able to interpret option logic diagrams to properly structure machine configurations.

Experience with business enterprise systems (Oracle & Navision).

Good interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to effectively utilize personal computer including Windows applications (MSWord, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Email, etc…), and ability to multitask and function in an interrupt-driven environment.
