Job Information

The Aftermarket Support Specialist will manage the relationship with Doosan Heavy Equipment’s 3PL managed warehouse’s and logistic carriers driving strategic initiatives and continuous improvements across quality, productivity and cost.  This position will also be responsible for multiple locations throughout North America.  In this role the Aftermarket Logistics Supervisor will also need to effectively communicate across the business unit the processes and policies related to the distribution of aftermarket components.

Role & Responsibility

Investigate Problems/Opportunities

  • Manages the investigation into cross-functional problems and opportunities, analyzing data, and implementing corrective actions where necessary.

Process Improvements

  • Proactive identification and recommendations for improvements to existing processes or development of new processes related to order fulfillment and delivery.
  • Leads policy development and documentation regarding the implementation of a regional warehouse and logistics strategy to improve availability and timing for order fulfillment.

Ensure Alignment and Communication

  • Alignment and coordination on key projects to ensure consistency and timely delivery on projects.
  • Effective communication internally and externally on project initiatives and benefits.  

Warehouse/Inventory Management

  • Drives continuous improvement initiatives and process standardization.
  • Warehouse improvements include driving inventory management requirements assist current 3PL with OSMI and slow-moving storage solutions and being responsible for the governance of the 3PL warehouse contracts  

Team Approach Management

  • Using a team approach to interface and coordinate with multiple functions to address issues and drive objectives.
  • Strategic management of business relations with 3PL suppliers, material supplier, and logistic carriers.
  • Carrier relations management responsibilities include such practices as determining the best carrier options to meet dealer delivery requirements, invoicing, damage and issue resolution  

Job Requirement

  • An elevated level of communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and follow through.
  • Must have solid analytical/problem solving skills to facilitate the continuous improvement of all parts-distribution operating metrics. 
  • Must be intimately familiar with lean and supply-chain strategies and analytical tools such as Value-Stream-Mapping and Kaizen event management to drive the implementation of operational excellence.
  • Experience with analysis of large sets of data.
  • Project management experience required.
  • Must be comfortable presenting strategic initiatives to senior level management
  • Education:  Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Experience:  5 - 7 years of warehousing and logistics experience required
  • Travel: 25 - 50%
