Job Information

Manage the product and service training facility. Collaborate with the product trainers and service training instructors to ensure training is effectively executed. Collaborate internally with the Product, Marketing, Quality, Service, and Sales teams to drive training curriculum development and quality execution of product and service training. 

Plan and direct the forcasting and scheduling of product and service training for Dealership Sales Specialists and Technicians working closely with Account Managers and District Service Managers.

Role & Responsibility

Product/Service Training Planning and Direction

  • Maintain close working relationship with product and service trainers.
  • Close the loop on significant open issues discovered in the training process.
  • Generate AOP and LRP information as required and update regularly.
  • Provide support or oversight to third party locations or remote company/corporate sites.
  • Promote overall training site development.

Training Curriculum Development and Execution

  • Oversee successful scheduling, and execution of training classes and training class requests.
  • Develop, review and communicate training metrics. 
  • Manage the development of new and efficient training methods/ technologies and procedures.
  • Ability to deliver training material in classroom setting to learners.

Budgeting

  • Execute a well-developed capital plan.
  • Manage departmental budget. Use good fiscal responsibility.

Staff Management

  • Effectively manage multiple projects and resources.
  • Coordinate planning, scheduling, directing and management of training personnel to correspond with established training schedules.
  • Establish/maintain effective talent development and succession plans.

Site Management

  • Manage the day to day operations of the training center.
  • Work with utility providers and contractors to ensure that the facility is operating efficiently and correctly. 
  • Work with local hospitality, catering, lodging and transportation companies to guarantee quality and timely delivery of services.

Job Requirement

  • Education Required: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Marketing, Management, or related field. 
  • Experience Required: 2>5 years
  • Travel Required: 10-24%
  • Ability to balance budget and project demands.
  • Basic business and financial knowledge.
  • Good understanding of the theory and design of the company's products.
  • Proven skills and experience with training and validation methods.
  • Ability to meet training deadlines.
  • Supervisory experience and the ability to manage resources through multiple training demands with limited supervision.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership and ensure compliance to safety and regulatory rules.
  • A willingness and ability to mentor less experience staff members.
  • An ability to help lead change, with the initiative to challenge existing processes and look for ways to improve productivity and effectiveness of training functions.
  • Ability to independently lead and teach specific Bobcat training programs.
  • Ability to develop industry leading online and in-person training content.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to follow written instructions.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to present to large and diverse audiences.
