The Advanced Product Analytics Modelling Manager is responsible for identifying, leading and driving advanced statistical analytic solutions, throughout product management, which leverage descriptive & diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive data. The modelling manager must be able to simplify model creation and management in order to facilitate more effective collaboration by the customer insights and product management teams.  The modelling manager will be required to complete advanced data analyses using mathematical and statistical formulas and algorithms to generate new information, to recognize patterns, and to predict outcomes and their respective probabilities.  Furthermore, the modelling manager will be responsible for implementing a theory and practice which displays complex quantitative data in an easy and effective way leading to precise and consistent interpretation resulting in quick and effective decision making.  The analytical skills used in this role will provide insights beyond typical statistical analysis.

Role & Responsibility

•    Implement sophisticated statistical and quantitative techniques to develop predictive models for customer insights and product management teams. This will include, but isn’t limited to, product scorecards based on data collected through the digital business portal, customer profiling and segmentation analysis, machine learning, simulation, optimization, and other techniques to deliver insights or develop analytical solutions to achieve research objectives. 
•    Translate complex analytical and technical concepts for non-technical team members to enable understanding and drive informed business decisions. 
•    Identify new big data technologies that enable cost-effective storage, processing, and analysis of large amounts of data 
Data Analysis
•    Analyze complex product situations and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers 
•    Identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences 
•    Provide recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on digital business data and product knowledge 
•    Create specifications for solutions and analysis based on product management needs and required or available data elements 
•    Help manage and develop an analytics roadmap focused on driving best practices adoption by product management, both digital and iron, facilitating the development of a communities of practice, and enabling product managements performance optimization 
Product Life Cycle Management
•    Develop a deep understanding of product management activities and identify opportunities to leverage analytics to help meet their strategic goals 
•    Work closely with product management teams to understand data analytics needs and translate them into a prioritized analytics roadmap 
•    Gather, document and validate business requirements acting as a “translator” bridging product management needs with analytics capabilities 
•    Plan engagement objectives and key deliverables; Manage using analytics processes to mitigate risks in data, modeling, validation and delivery; work with team members to capture assumptions, and risks, and develop approaches to mitigate issues 
End user adoption
•    Drive adoption of analytical solutions within product management 
•    Design and build dashboards using machine IQ data, CRM data, warranty data, and any other data source that meets the definition of quantitative relevance 
•    Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the product management teams 
•    Translate advanced business analytics problems into technical approaches that yield actionable recommendations, in diverse domains such as product and service development and logistics; communicate results and educate others through insightful visualizations, reports and presentations. 
Digital Solution
•    Application of new technologies to existing business activities including manufacturing, product development, IT, marketing and other cross functional teams. Translate business needs into technical/service solutions. 
•    Work closely with industry Subject Matter Experts, Data Architects and Solution Architects to understand business problems, identify data sources, develop analyzers and predictive models and configure visualization software to communicate results.

    Job Requirement
    • Education required: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Marketing, Mathematics, or related filed.
    • Experience required: 10>15 years. 
    • 5+ years of industry experience in data science; data analytics, applied research, data mining and/or machine learning.
    • Preferred; 5+ years in manufacturing or BtoB.
    • Preferred; 5+ years of account management experience in BtoB.
    • Travel required: 10   - 24 %.
    • Demonstrated proficient skillset in statistical/analytic modeling with R or Python, and visualizing with OBIEE, Tableau or Power BI.
    • Demonstrate ability to model problems, algorithms and reporting for analytic learning and data optimization. 
    • Former field experience working directly with construction dealer network.
    • Demonstrated strong financial acumen.
    • Demonstrated exceptional vendor management competency.
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively persuade/influence.
    • Ability to create a team environment that develops individuals through collaboration, leveraging and evolving skill sets while constantly improving processes.
